Harmony - Team 2
I have always been passionate about caring for women, families and serving my community. This passion has taken me from rural Alberta to many different places around the world; Asia to Australia, with 4 years spent in rural India. While overseas, I observed my first birth at a midwifery clinic in the Philippines. I fell in love with the miracle of birth and the continuity of care that this woman received. This experience imprinted on my heart and inspired me to start my journey towards midwifery.
Allowing women and their families the opportunity to make an informed choice is a right that I believe every woman should have access to. This propelled me to pursue further education. I completed one year of the Bachelor of Nursing program at Mount Royal University in 2010 before transferring into the Bachelor of Midwifery program where I am currently in my final semester, awaiting graduation (2011-2015).
I have also been blessed to have the loving support of my husband and our young daughter.
Birth can be a very transformational and empowering experience for a family. I feel blessed to be apart of your experience. I look forward to journeying with your family in this exciting new time.
