I trained in Nigeria as a Registered Nurse and graduated in the year 2002. Because of my passion and appreciation for women, the uniqueness in pregnancy I proceeded and studied Midwifery, then graduated from the College of Midwifery in 2004 as Registered Midwife, where I was trained along with other Midwives, Nurses and Doctors. And I have since been practicing as a Midwife. I have worked with many resourceful and intelligent practitioners whose expertise, experience, kind heartedness and professional conduct have modeled my career. My pursuit of professional excellence have taken me from Africa to The United Kingdom, The Caribbean and finally to Canada.
I relocated to Calgary, Canada in 2011 as a skilled Professional and got registered as a Nurse (RN). I worked briefly in the community as a Public Health Nurse before proceeding to work as a Labour and Delivery Nurse at The Foothills Hospital and as a Post Partum Nurse at The Peter Lougheed Hospital.
Throughout my career as a Midwife and as a mother, I can easily relate to and fathom what the entire process of birth could be, starting from conception till birth. Which serves as an entirely new experience for families, hence it should be valued and nurtured by care givers. I am thankful for the opportunity to be registered in Alberta, and the opportunity to work with you wonderful families and also share in your precious memories. I am very proud to be part of the wonderful midwives at Birth Partnership since January 2016.
