I have been fascinated with pregnancy and birth for as long as I can remember. I grew up on the prairies in Caroline, Alberta, where I witnessed the miracle of birth at my grandmother’s cattle ranch on many occasions. Birth stories were regularly shared in our household. To this day, my sisters and I love to hear our mother recount tales of our births. My fascination with the capabilities of the human body led me to study health sciences at Mount Royal University. During my studies, I was introduced to the art of midwifery and immediately fell in love with its philosophies and holistic approach to maternity care. I quickly realized that I wanted to dedicate my life to empowering women throughout their pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.

Shortly after achieving my Bachelor of Science degree in 2014, I enrolled in MRU’s Bachelor of Midwifery program. During my time as a student midwife, I discovered the beauty of birth and the immense strength of those undertaking it. I was privileged to learn from talented midwives in both rural and urban settings across Alberta. In 2019 I earned my Bachelor of Midwifery degree and became a registered midwife. I haven’t looked back since. Life as a midwife is incredibly rewarding.

When I’m not on call, you can find me taking long winding road trips. I also enjoy drinking copious amounts of coffee, snuggling my 15-year-old dog Zoey, attempting to keep up in spin class, and reading way past my bedtime. My favourite quote is currently, "choose courage over comfort." -Brene´ Brown

I am thrilled to be a part of Birth Partnership Midwives and look forward to serving families in the Airdrie andsurrounding area. It’s my absolute pleasure and honour to walk alongside you on this journey.
