I became a midwife after the birth of my babies almost twenty years ago because I knew in my heart that it should have been better than that. Don't get me wrong, I had was lucky enough to have great births, and a fantastic caregiver, but something was missing that I couldn't quite put my finger on. Today, after all of the wonderful families I have had the honour of assisting I know I am right. Pregnancy,birth and parenting are profound events for women and their families, Birth is a mystical experience. Women and babies deserve a birth that respects the journey as well as the destination. I see my role as the protector of the sacred space and witness to the awesome power of women.

I am past president of the Alberta Association of Midwives and co-owner of Birth Partnership Midwives.

I love my "job", not everyone gets to say that. I am truly blessed. I look forward to walking with you on your path to parenthood. Namaste.
