Hello future parents!

I have always been fascinated by the process of pregnancy and childbirth, fulfilling my career aspiration to care for women and families in 2005. I am from the UK where all pregnant women receive Midwifery care which is a little different from here in Alberta.

I trained and worked at a large regional hospital in the south of England caring for women with high risk pregnancies and complex social needs, my clients coming from a hugely diverse population. As part of my training and transition to the Canadian model of midwifery I studied at UBC in Vancouver - this was a wonderful introduction to the extensive role of a Canadian Midwife.

My family and I have recently relocated to Calgary AB to enjoy the culture and dynamics the Canadian lifestyle and people have shown and shared with us.

I am a mother of two, Erin 6, and Harrison 4, daily they show me how invaluable and rewarding the role of a mother is and can be.
