apply for care

Midwifery care is funded under Alberta Health Care. You don’t need a referral to access midwifery care, you can apply directly as soon as you know you’re pregnant.

HISTORY

OUR ROOTS

Birth Partnership was founded in 1996 by two of the first midwives registered in Alberta, Bobbie Fraser and Arlette Allyjan. Since then, many dedicated and passionate midwives have continued the Birth Partnership legacy, empowering families with safe and respectful midwifery care.
